Octamethyltrisiloxane (EC 203-497-4, CAS 107-51-7) à the proposal lists medical and healthcare applications among the identified uses, which we have been told is relevant for some members.
Octamethyltrisiloxane, commonly referred to as octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane, falls under the category of siloxanes. Its versatile applications include serving as a solvent, coupling agent, and surface tension modifier in various industries. Furthermore, it plays a significant role in the production of adhesives, sealants, and lubricants.
