ECHA launches new chemicals database
ECHA CHEM is our new solution for publishing information on chemicals. The first release, available now, includes information from all REACH registrations – and there is more to come.

Submission of octocrilene restriction report postponed
The submission of the Annex XV restriction report on octocrilene (EC 228-250-8) by France is postponed from 4 October 2024 to 10 January 2025.

New intentions to harmonise classification and labelling
Three intentions have been submitted for:
- perhydro-1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazine (EC 204-500-1, CAS 121-82-4);
- octahydro-1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocine (EC 220-260-0, CAS 2691-41-0); and
- Mono- and di-phthalate esters with linear and/or branched alkyl moieties with at least one longest continuous carbon chain counted from the ester function corresponding to C4-C6 and/or with C6 cyclic saturated carbon chains and/or with unsaturated hydrocarbyl moieties (EC -, CAS -).

ECHA sets out strategic goals for next five years
We have published our Strategy Statement for 2024-2028. It details our goals and priorities over the next five years to protect health and the environment through our work for chemical safety.
Does your company have expertise in hazard assessment and identification?
We are preparing a new procurement addressing emerging regulatory challenges related to (eco)toxicological and environmental fate assessments of substances. We will also need support in evaluation and hazard identification.
