ECHA public consultations: call for comments

The Great Britain Mandatory Classification and Labelling (GB MCL) process includes the consideration of information gathered from public consultations, conducted by HSE or international bodies such as the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).

ECHA has announced public consultations on the following proposals for harmonised classification and labelling (CLH):

Deadline: 22 August 2025

• propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (EC: 202-307-7; CAS: 94-13-3).
  Chemical registered under REACH. Endocrine disruptor for the environment and environment hazard classes open for commenting

Interested parties are invited to submit comments to the above consultation by 22 August 2025. The comments will be published on ECHA’s website.

Deadline: 5 September 2025

• l-p-mentha-1(6),8-dien-2-one; (5R)-2-methyl-5-(prop-1-en-2-yl)cyclohex-2-en-1-one; l-carvone (EC: 229-352-5; CAS: 6485-40-1).
  Pesticide active substance. All hazard classes open for commenting
• Spearmint oil (EC: -; CAS: 8008-79-5).
  Pesticide active substance. All hazard classes open for commenting
