Food and drinks cartons made of a fibre-based composite should be collected with plastic, not with cardboard. From 31 March 2027, plastic film packaging and plastic bags will also need to be collected in the plastic stream.We’ve clarified that ‘written assessments’ can’t be used to avoid collecting any of the dry recyclable waste streams. We’ve also added a link to a free tool for writing written assessments, on the WRAP website.
