- Updates to country listings for certain products of animal origin and animal by-products
From 10 February 2025, the list of trading partners approved to export certain products of animal origin and animal by-products will be managed administratively and published at the following links:
- EU and EFTA countries approved to export animals and animal products to Great Britain
- Non-EU countries approved to export animals and animal products to Great Britain
The new lists on both pages are:
- live, chilled, frozen or processed bivalve molluscs, echinoderms, tunicates and marine gastropods for human consumption [EUR 2019/626]
- other fishery products [EUR 2019/626]
- frogs’ legs and snails intended for human consumption [EUR 2019/626]
- insects [EUR 2019/626]
- animal by-products [EUR 142/2011].
These lists will replace those previously set out in UK legislation, meaning required changes (for example in response to an animal disease outbreak), can be made promptly. The conditions set out in the lists remain the same.
