By December 17, 2024No Comments

The Department of Health and Social Care has launched a consultation and is currently inviting views on the proposed regulations and accompanying guidance.

The consultation is seeking views on a wide range of considerations including:

  • how the regulations will be implemented
  • the impact of the regulations on tackling modern slavery
  • how frameworks and dynamic markets (as defined within the Procurement Act 2023) should assess and manage modern slavery risks
  • how public bodies want to be supported to implement these new duties

The relevant consultation documents, and a link to the online response form, can be found here: Tackling modern slavery in NHS procurement: proposed regulations and guidance – GOV.UK

Please note that the deadline for responses to the consultation is 11:59pm on 13 February 2025.
