EU proposed position on intellectual property of genetic resources and traditional knowledge with genetic resources

A recommendation is put forth for Council Decision authorizing the initiation of negotiations on an international legal instrument regarding intellectual property, genetic resources, and traditional knowledge associated with genetic resources. The proposal provides an explanatory memorandum that outlines the context, legal elements, and Union competence for the recommendation.

Implementation of Reese’s Law enforces safety standard for coin cell batteries and Consumer Products

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a notice for Proposed Rulemaking for Safety Rule 16 CFR part 1263 in early 2023. This rule focuses on safety standards and notification requirements for button cell and coin batteries in various consumer products. The CPSC have incorporated UL 4200A into this standard.
