As a step to protect the environment, the European Commission have announced it's proposal for a regulation to control emissions of microplastics from plastic pellets to reduce microplastics pollution. The proposed regulation can be found here.

ECHA have published an assessment of regulatory needs list. This list includes substances for which an assessment either is under development or has been completed. The table includes potential candidate substances requiring evaluation as potential substances of very high concern. More information on this can be found here.
