BIVDA Chief Executive Helen Dent recently spoke at the Royal College of Pathologist’s Industry Leaders’ Forum.
She delivered her presentation alongside now former Health Innovation Minister Zubir Ahmed MP and Dr Rhydian Phillips, Director of Diagnostics and Transport at NHS England.
Helen’s presentation explored the impact of the Life Sciences Sector Plan on both the health system and industry, with a particular focus on pathology. She emphasised that the Plan’s success will depend on how effectively it aligns with the NHS 10-Year Health Plan.
She also highlighted the need for closer collaboration between industry and pathology networks, alongside stronger engagement with laboratories and local communities to build trust and maximise impact.
