We would like to inform you of a new event proposed by LabMed members The digital landscape in laboratory medicine: Current systems, future possibilities, taking place on 30 April in Leeds.
This one-day event will explore how laboratory IT systems work and how they can be utilised to support clinical decision-making, demand optimisation and safe, effective service delivery. The day will also showcase locally developed digital innovations and highlight the work of the LabMed AI and Informatics Specialist Interest Group.
In the morning session, the meeting will focus on these core aspects of laboratory IT, exploring how systems support clinical decision-making, how information flows through laboratory pathways, and where challenges can arise in day-to-day practice.
In the afternoon session, the focus will shift to emerging technologies. New developments in AI and informatics have significant potential to influence data analysis and many other aspects of laboratory medicine. This session will feature case studies showcasing innovation in this area, followed by a panel discussion offering attendees the opportunity to explore and reflect on the themes raised throughout the day.
